Product update! An improved calendar in HoorayHR

The calendar in HoorayHR has been improved. The calendar loads data dynamically as you scroll, supports large teams, and now displays birthdays, work anniversaries, leave, absences and work locations for each employee directly in the calendar overview. In this blog post, we’d like to tell you more about it.

Scroll without delay

The calendar loads data dynamically as you scroll, rather than fetching everything at once. This ensures a smooth and seamless experience, even when working with large numbers of employees.

We implemented this improvement based on feedback from customers, who reported encountering limitations in loading speed. To resolve this, we completely rebuilt the calendar. Loading speed was a key priority, regardless of the number of employees.

The result is impressive: a significantly faster calendar that you can scroll through smoothly.

Birthdays and anniversaries displayed for each employee

Previously, public holidays were already displayed, but it wasn’t clear which employee they applied to when multiple public holiday schedules were in use. That’s why we now show public holidays directly for the relevant employee, so you can see at a glance who does and who doesn’t have a public holiday.

In addition, other types of absence, such as leave and sick leave, are clearly displayed in the calendar.

Filter for what’s relevant to you

Use the filter options to choose which company events you want to view: leave, absences, birthdays, work anniversaries and work locations. This allows you to tailor the calendar to the information that is most relevant to you at that moment.

Get started with the improved calendar

Open the calendar in HoorayHR and discover the new filter options at the top right of the screen. The filters are available immediately and easy to set up.
