
Product update: register employee absence more efficiently and clearly
Good news! We’ve made major improvements to our Absence feature. With the implementation of these improvements, you can now make tracking absenteeism for your employees even clearer and more efficient. Here’s a quick overview of the improvements.
Easier tracking of long-term absence
HoorayHR now allows you to record multiple phases within a single absence file. Ideal for long-term absence or reintegration processes. You can register the entire course of illness – from the first sick report to full recovery – clearly in one place.
Labels for better clarity
It’s now possible to add labels to absence files. Think of labels like short-term absence, long-term absence, or reintegration. This helps you easily categorize files and keep a clear overview, even when managing large teams or multiple absence cases at once.
Attach documents to absence files
You can now add documents to each phase of an absence file – for example, a doctor’s note, action plan, or a report from an evaluation meeting. Everything is neatly stored in the right place within the file, so you never have to search and always have the right information at hand.
Disable employee sick leave reporting
You can now decide whether employees can report themselves sick or recovered in HoorayHR. If you turn off this option in the company settings, employees will still have access to their own file, but the management of absence will be fully in the hands of admins and team leads. This way, your organisation stays in full control of the absence process.
